Welcome to 7th Grade Block
In 7A Block, we meet 5 days a week to study and experience integrated World Geography. We begin the year reviewing basic geography terms, landforms and vocabulary. Then we head into Prehistory examining human evolution and diaspora and Ancient History focusing on Mesopotamia, Greece and Rome. Block integrates reading, writing and social studies. As we study the emergence of farming and civilization in the Fertile Crescent, we will begin reading our theme based book, Three Cups of Tea: One Man's Mission to Promote Peace . . . One School at a Time by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin set in modern day Pakistan and Afghanistan.
